JESSY KEMPER
My name is Jessy Kemper and Eindhoven is my hometown.
The reason I started dancing was because my dad wanted to start a breakin’ class for kids, he was a bboy himself. I joined his class in 2001 and I just never stopped.
How I joined the Ruggeds was because Virgil (Skychief), Niek and Roy we’re in the same breakin’ class and we started practicing together more often.
Arranging more spots to practice and it just turned in from an hobby to an ambition for all of us. We decided to make a crew so we can enter battles. That was all we wanted to do. This was 2005.
What I add to the crew is my effectiveness. I’m a good captain and as myself I know how to put on a show. My style is joyful but can also be explosive at moments where I have to be. An allround bboy I’d say but the music is what takes me to places.
